William Downie is one of Australia's most thoughtful and singular Pinot Noir producers, sourcing from cool, high-altitude sites across Victoria with meticulous care. The Tolmie comes from a remote northeast Victorian vineyard and is characteristically restrained and complex — red fruits, wet earth, dried herbs and a gossamer texture that just floats across the palate. Hauntingly good.
