Made by Natillie Johnston, a four-time Top 50 Young Gun of Wine and 2023 People's Choice Award winner, whose eponymous label is based in the Yarra Valley. This Grenache comes from the Watkins Vineyard in Langhorne Creek, South Australia, a region she began working with through the growers' association initiative Project 5255. Whole-bunch fermented and crafted with a minimalist, gentle approach, it's designed as a lighter, brighter interpretation of the variety. Expect delicate aromas of rose petal and sandalwood, with a palate of bright raspberry and cherry fruit, savoury five-spice notes and fine, vibrant tannin. Medium-bodied yet juicy and expressive, it carries real energy and purity of fruit, reflecting Johnston's terroir-driven, low-intervention winemaking style honed across stints at some of Australia's most respected wineries.
