It doesn't get more collectable, highly sought after or esteemed than the wines of Standish Wine Co.
Dan Standish is 6th generation Barossan born winemaker and hails from pedigree experience such as Torbreck Vintners. He began The Standish Wine Co in 1999 and a more highly regarded reputation is hard to imagine.
Here's what you need to know.
Barossa Valley. Single vineyard. Old vined. Shiraz. The fruit is sourced exclusively from the Laycock Family Vineyard in Greenock, planted on ironstone gravels and layered schist at 314 metres above sea level, producing Shiraz of elegance and minerality. This 100 percent Shiraz reveals black cherry and satsuma plum fruit layered with exotic spices, sandalwood and dried rose petals, all framed by firm yet fine brick dust tannins.
Crafted with meticulous attention to detail and bottled as some of the best damn Shiraz in the world.
Wines are made in small quantities and whenever they appear for sale they quickly disappear, like a mirage in the desert. Don't question it, just head towards it and pray you get to taste the phenomenon.
