Terre à Terre is the Bordeaux-inspired still wine label from the Aussie-French power couple, Lucy and Xavier Bizot. (They also produce a sparkling wine under the DAOSA moniker, using grapes grown in Piccadilly Valley, Adelaide Hills). The couple come from winemaking royalty (Lucy is the daughter of famed Brian Croser and Xavier is the son of Champagne Bollinger’s Christian Bizot). They purchased their Crayères Vineyard in Wrattonbully GI in 2003 and produced their first wine from the vineyard, a Sauvignon Blanc, in 2008. The 8-hectare vineyard is now planted with Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Shiraz. They are best known for their textured, barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc, and the classic Australian blend of Cabernet and Shiraz, a truly Australian wine. They have recently released their first Pinot Noir from grapes grown in their Piccadilly Vineyard.
