'Wieden' Grüner Veltliner 2024

Salomon ‘Wieden’ Grüner Veltliner 2024 is crafted by Salomon Undhof, one of Austria’s oldest family owned estates, founded in 1792 and renowned for mineral, terroir-driven white wines from the Danube terraces. Based in the village of Stein in the Kremstal, the estate works historic vineyard sites surrounding Krems, including the enclosed Wieden vineyard with old vine material selected since the 1930s. Sandy, stony and loess soils across these sites contribute to the wine’s finesse, subtle spice, and regional typicity.

In the glass, it shows fresh green apple, citrus and white pepper, layered with soft herbal notes and a gentle mineral edge. Light to medium bodied with lively acidity, it finishes clean, elegant, and delicately spiced.
