Shortly after the devastation of phylloxera in the late 1800s, Alfred Bonville bravely purchased a plot of land in the heart of wine country, Oger, Champagne. His son Franck would later go on to commercialize and sell their wine with a winery in Avize. Today, the Franck Bonville house is a Blanc de Blancs specialist, given their location in the Côte des Blancs. The 4th generation, Olivier Bonville, has taken the reins.

They have 77 plots spread over 15ha in 3 Grand Crus villages: Avize, Oger and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Besides the classic vintage and non-vintage bottlings, they also have a special cuvée dedicated to each of the villages, showcasing the terroir within the Côte des Blancs. Their Brut Rosé is still 90% Chardonnay and includes 10% Pinot Noir grapes specially selected from Ambonnay for colour. Non-Vintage wines see 2.5 years on lees, whereas Vintage and prestige cuvées see 5 to 6 years.
