Champagne Devaux is located in the heart of the Côte des Bar, where Pinot Noir reigns supreme. The estate has a successful and inspiring, albeit gloomy, history having been controlled by 3 consecutive widows. When, in the 1980s, the final Devaux didn’t produce an heir, the estate was given to the Groupe Vinicole Champagne Devaux, who previously supplied for their Blanc de Noirs. Today the wines are highly acclaimed, partially for their long lees-ageing. The ‘D Collection’ is aged a minimum of 5 years for non-vintage wines and 10 years for vintage. Their chef de caves, Michel Parisot was named “Sparkling Winemaker of the Year” at the prestigious International Wine Challenge in London, 2020.
