Chardonnay 2021

Shy at first, with a haze of smokiness protecting the wine underneath. White florals, mangosteen, nougat and subtle wood spice. Lots of stone fruits and ripples of acidity. Tailored, thoughtful. Unlike a lot of Australian winemakers who inherit vineyards from previous generations, Ministry of Clouds casts a net further than where they sit in Mclaren Vale, when in the pursuit of good fruit. Tasmania was a no-brainer when they wanted to make a true cool climate Chardonnay, wanting to make something fresh and vibrant.
