Owen Latta’s tale is one to be marveled at. At the extremely young age of 15, circumstances occurred that had Owen right at the helm of his fathers winery calling the shots and giving it a go. A vintage to remember, in more ways than one! 

From a history of growing grapes to the birth of Eastern Peake Winery itself,Owen and his father have proved that with every obstacle lies an opportunity. 

Latta Vino is Owen’s own label restricted by nothing but his wild imaginations. Grapes are sourced from family friends and long term relationships in the area of Ballarat, the experimental label offers wines that are thrilling and alive with detail. 

Owen was named Gourmet Traveller Wine’s ‘Young Winemaker of the Year’ in 2018 and known amongst the industry as the kid from Ballarat that is carving a path of wonder in wine.
