'Les Graviers' Syrah 2023

Julien Cecillon is a highly regarded small-scale producer working in the northern Rhône, crafting wines from old-vine Syrah with a deft, artisan hand and a deep respect for terroir. 'Les Graviers', named for the gravelly soils from which it springs, is a compelling expression of northern Rhône Syrah at its most characterful. Deep ruby in the glass, the nose is arrestingly complex with dark olive, black pepper, smoked meat, and brooding dark fruit. The palate is structured and serious, with firm but refined tannins, excellent depth, and a long, savoury finish. Northern Rhône Syrah of genuine distinction.
