Annette Hilberg and Pier Paolo Pasquero are a German-Italian duo farming organically in Piedmont's Roero, making wines that are deeply personal and utterly distinctive. Vareij is their take on Brachetto — lightly sparkling, fragrant with rose petal, wild strawberry and a hint of spice, with a soft, almost silky finish.
