Nerello Mascalese from different vineyards, some of the best parcels where they produce the crus (Zottorinoto-Chiusa Spagnolo, Feudo di Mezzo-sottana and Porcaria) as well as designated vineyards for this specific wine (Rampante sottana, Piano Daini and Crasà). A classic, traditional Nerello Mascalese with tannins and sweetness of ripe fruit. It is Frank’s vision of a traditional, balanced and rich Northern Valley Etna wine.

Frank Cornelissen was sitting in a bar in Sicily, when he had his a-ha moment. Though he was already familiar with one side of the wine industry, as an established wine collector and auction haunter, he had never seen wines like the ones he tasted in that bar. He immediately hitched a ride to the volcano to see where the wines had come from, and in the true moving and shaking style he has been known for, six months later he'd leased a vineyard. Over the years there have been many releases: the fabled Magma, the single site Nerellos, the Munjebel, the Susu...each and every cuveé achieving its cult status in separate rights. He is a champion for the single site and helped put Etna on the map as a fine wine region. He is a true wine lover and a dedicated farmer, a sustainability idol for those near and far.
