Where once he escaped the busyness of the city, Francesco Cirelli has returned to the countryside of Abruzzo and laid down roots. Cirelli Farm consists of 22ha of olive groves and vineyards, all cared for with a holistic approach and organic viticulture. Continuing on theme of recapturing a more simple way of living, Cirelli makes his wines as they did thousands of years ago, in terracotta amphorae. There is no one recipe for his wines. Fermentation, maceration and ageing process are all based on the needs of each individual harvest, and his personal development and learning. He believes that wine not only reflects place of origin, but also its creator.
