Made under the Elderslie label, a collaborative Adelaide Hills project led by Adam and Nikki Wadewitz with input from David Lemire MW that champions cool-climate varietals like Gamay in a region typically known for other varieties, the 2022 Elderslie Gamay comes from elevated sites in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills. It shows bright aromatics of red cherry and red petal with nuances of wild strawberry, damp earth and moss, unfolding into a medium-bodied palate defined by crisp acidity, fine tannins and a subtle mineral, crushed rock character that keeps it fresh and balanced, finishing with length and varietal clarity.
