We stone, white peach, lemon peel and almond skin. On the palate, rich and warming, but driven by tantalising acidity. Long finish, searching. Delightful. 

We search and we search for white Burgundy, as we never tire of its face or poetry. This Bourgogne Clos des six ouvrées from Domaine Rougeot is a good example of why we never give up; detailed, rich and fresh Chardonnay.

Domaine Rougeot’s backbone is the famous village of Meursault. Their "Clos des six ouvrées" vineyard is located within the Domaine's walls, at the base of the hill of Meursault, and mere metres from the “Les Chevalières” climat. It pays to keep good company, when you’re a Burgundian vine. Here, it is the ideal location to grow great quality Chardonnay and this Bourgogne is often called the “Petit Meursault” within the range. A cute nickname fitting of its presence. Shame there’s only six to eight barrels each year.
