Nicolas Mariotti Bindi, like many others before him, took the long way around to winemaking. He moved to Paris and pursued a law degree before realizing that in fact, his true calling was in the vineyard. Raised in Corsica, this is where he wanted to return. He began farming 5ha in 2007 and has since expanded to 15, all of which are certified organic. Contrary to most bottlings, his Vin de France labels are in fact his more premium wines, as their vineyard is planted at a high density, prohibiting them from the AOP classification. He labels his wines with their exact alcohol and sulphur additions. His openness is refreshing, where most labels are an approximate (within 1.5% of error).
