Purus is a fermentation project in reflection of the pristine flavours, textures and climate of southern Margaret River Chardonnay. Bosc pear, magnolia and wet granite integrated with grapefruit pith and white nectarine. Little bit of white fruited tannin, porcelain like texture and length. Mmmm. Bruce Dukes is about creating beautiful wines from the ground up. As a young agricultural science student at the University of Western Australia he shaped his values and practice, learning to approach winemaking with soil as the foundation of it all.
