Like so many wonderful and interesting winemakers, Julien Petitjean found his way into the wine industry the long way around. He studied art history, archaeology and musicology, before visiting La Viti in Beaune and making a sharp turn towards wine. His ruminated the idea of a winery for 10 years before opening in Nolay in 2012. Today his label produces wine under the Bourgogne, Hautes Côtes de Beaune, and Beaune appellations. His focus is in the vineyard, with the utmost attention given to the health of its soils.
