Domaine Christian Moreau

Chablis 2023

After nearly 200 years of family winemaking history in Chablis, the Christian Moreau Père et Fils label was created in 2001. Today the estate is run by Christian’s son and 6^th generation Moreau, Fabien. The family owns 12 hectares of Grand Cru and Premier Cru plots, including the famed Clos des Hospices, which the family purchased back in 1904. Many of their vines are 60+ years old, providing powerful, concentrated fruit. They have been farming organically since the early 2000s, and officially received their ECO-cert in 2013. All grapes are handpicked, a combination of stainless steel vats and oak barrels are used (typically less than 5% new).
