Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, maintaining tradition for nearly three centuries across nine generations of winemakers - an almost unbelievable claim to make.
With a sprawl of vineyard holdings over the Cote d’Or, they are producing small quantities of an extensive terroir of Burgundy that allows for a deep exploration into old vines, and individual site expression in each cuvée.
The fruit for this wine was purchased from a long-term grape grower based in Puligny- Montrachet. With a close relationship to the family, the grower has full respect and understanding of the Bouchard Père & Fils expectation for quality fruit. To show delicacy and uninterrupted purity, the wine is aged in only 5% new barrels for 11 months. A deliciously floral and elegant expression.
