Crimson rich, a babbling brook of cherries and berries, pressed flowers, along with spice and earth, scattered leaves on a forest floor. Mineral rich and flecked with good acid. A stellar wine from a producer that always produces wines of real connection and presence. Chris Dilworth and Loique Allain have histories that navigate the intersection of art and nature, working with growers they celebrate. The fruit for this wine is taken from the Ray Monde vineyard, north of Sunbury, south of the Macedon Ranges. No synthetic herbicides or fungicides are used on the farm and John (the grower) has a thorough and deep knowledge of the area and the species that inhabit it.
