Since its founding in 2008, Comando G in the Sierra de Gredos
has become the zeitgeist of a new generation of Spanish
winemaking. The name itself comes from ‘Gatchaman’ a
Japanese cartoon that was popular in Spain in the 1980s.
Comando G is run by two close friends: the passionate and
extremely talented viticulturists and winemakers, Daniel Gómez
Jiménez-Landi and Fernando Garcia. The project was born of their
belief in the potential of the old Garnacha vineyards in the Sierra
de Gredos. The vineyards here, often planted at extreme altitude,
on very pure granitic soils, produce wines of incredible elegance
