In a pristine patch of unencumbered land, within earshot of the sea’s crashing waves, you’ll find the minute 1 hectare plot of Cloudburst Wines – the passion project from American-born winemaker, Will Berliner. Ardently biodynamic, Will has created (or perhaps protected is more accurate) a diverse ecosystem within the Margaret River region, on land that has never been touched with the hands of chemical agriculture.

 Here you will find elegant and fine Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec, all close-planted, dry-farmed, hand pruned, and harvested. Will sees the vineyard as a big picture, rather than individual vines, allowing their roots to interconnect and communicate in ways he believes we have yet to understand. As a spiritual man, Will’s motivation may be more about seeking mindfulness than producing a profit, but his resulting wines have garnered some of the most premium prices from the region, sensational reviews, and routinely sell out.
