‘Les Duresses’ Monthelie 1er Cru 2020

Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, maintaining tradition for nearly three centuries across nine generations of winemakers - aa claim that is almost unheard of.

With a sprawl of vineyard holdings over the Cote d’Or, they are producing small quantities of an extensive terroir of Burgundy that allows for a deep exploration into old vines, and individual site expression in each cuvée. 

This Premier Cru site is situated between Meursault and Volnay. The climat 'Les Duresses' is one of the most prized sites in the appellation. The family farm this 1.72 hectare parcel that is harvest later than surrounding vineyards resulting in ripe fruit and a rounder expression of Pinot Noir.
