Bouchard Père & Fils, is one of the oldest wine estates in Burgundy, maintaining tradition for nearly three centuries across nine generations of winemakers - an almost unbelievable claim to make.
With a sprawl of vineyard holdings over the Cote d’Or, they are producing small quantities of an extensive terroir of Burgundy that allows for a deep exploration into old vines, and individual site expression in each cuvée.
This Cote de Nuits Grand Cru vineyard blossoms on the hillside of the town Flagey-Echezeaux producing wines of intensity and sappiness with rich characters of earth and moss. Its plush and silky texture would imply it is ready to sip now yet this wine is built for a good length of time in the bottle.
