R.D. Extra Brut Champagne 2008

As one of the oldest, most tradition Champagne houses, it demands attention for its ever generous, stunning releases of fizz. The R.D. Extra Brut is a very special and unique Champagne. From the earliest harvest in a century, 2008 produced fruit of intensity and exceptional quality. For an old vintage, it has only recently been disgorged, allowing for total vibrancy. The wine is made up of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. It features fruit from 91% Grands Crus and 9% Premiers Crus. A total of 14 crus can be found in the blending. The fermentation is entirely in oak barrels. This wine deserves a drinking companion who is an excellent conversationalist.
