By Burgundy standards, Arnaud Baillot is considered a newcomer having made his first vintage in 2014. Located in Levernois, a small village on the South-East of some of Beaune’s best vineyards, Arnaud is producing wines of incredible tension and precision. His style is energetic and respectful to vineyard expression whilst offering incredible value from an up-and-coming star.
Here in the ‘Sous la Velle’ climate we find much richer soils at the foot of the Meursault hill. A later ripening vineyard provides a unique beauty and complexity to the fruit - generous, ripe stone fruit yet plenty of hidden layers of spice. It’s a wine that sits within the balance of broad Chardonnay with refined depth.
