By Burgundy standards, Arnaud Baillot is considered a newcomer having made his first vintage in 2014. Located in Levernois, a small village on the South-East of some of Beaune’s best vineyards, Arnaud is producing wines of incredible tension and precision. His style is energetic and respectful to vineyard expression whilst offering incredible value from an up-and-coming star.
The fruit is sourced from two vineyards, one on the border of Pommard and the other neighbouring Clos de Mouches. A Pinot Noir made fully destemmed, enhancing bright cherries, delicate tannins and energetic acidity - truly balanced. It’s a wine that balances the intensity of Pommard with the subtlety of Pinot Noir from Beaune.
