The Gautheron family hold a 14.5 hectare estate located about 4 kilometers from the town of Chablis in the petit village of Fleys. Alain took over from his father in the early 90’s as the sixth generation vigneron and is now joined by his son, Cyril, who is helping to bring their wines into the modern era.
The Valmur Grand Cru site produces wine of unique personality, juggling bright freshness from a vineyard that is soaked in sunlight. Shaped like an amphitheater, it evenly absorbs warm days that adds ripe and boastful characters to the wine. With the balance of persistent acid and mineral austerity, it is a wine of true pleasure and harmony.
