Leko is the Adelaide Hills brand brought to you by Damon and Jono Koerner.
The Koerner brothers are second generation and like a lot of descendant winemakers they have learnt some valuable lessons from their parents and have gone on to alter the course of family history.
In this case, on a unique path of their own whilst still holding ties to tradition and core family values.
The wines first exploded onto the scene in 2014 and since that time have become renowned for their colourful labels and multifaceted mosaic of wines.
At Leko they work with the significant sites of Piccadilly, Balhannah and Lenswood and picking dates remains an important decision in the winemaking process. Hands on in the vineyard, the wines of Leko favour their cool climate origins working with Chardonnay, Savagnin, Gamay, Pinot Noir and Gamay.
Damon has worked for over 10 years as viticulturist within the Hills and you can rely on the Leko wines to represent the site they are grown with homage to the Koerner freshness and vitality they are synonymous for.
