Jim Chatto is a name that might get you into some trouble but more likely will win friends and influence people.
Jim Chatto has had over 30 years of winemaking experience with the best in the business. His reputation precedes him, he is an individual with more talent and pedigree that almost any other in this country.
He was Group Winemaker at McWilliams for 8 years and his ties run deep in the Hunter Valley.
It was Tasmania though that kept calling his name and he and his wife Daisy eventually found their idyllic site in the Huon Valley to begin their dream of crafting some of the finest Pinot Noir Australia has ever seen.
In his down time Jim also makes wine in Burgundy taking his family along for the ride and the French cuisine.
Jim Chatto has been honoured with Gourmet Traveller’s Winemaker of the Year in 2019 and continues to make waves wherever he goes.
