Howard Park Wines, as a multi-generational family-owned estate, is one of the ten members of Australia’s First Families of Wine alongside the likes of Henschke and Tyrrell’s. In the 1980s, the Burch Family first purchased a 138ha plot in Margaret River and collaborated with their friend and winemaker, John Wade, in Great Southern. They are now the sole proprietors of 4 vineyards in both Western Australian wine regions.
The Allingham Chardonnay is named for Jeff Burch’s maternal grandmother. This Chardonnay has become one of their icon wines. Aged in fine-grained French oak, 30% of which is new, the wine is known for its definition and balance.
