Michael Cruse launched Cruse Wine Co. in 2013 after the success of his sparkling label release, Ultramarine. Born and bred in Northern California, Michael wanted to make a wine in the Sonoma and Napa region that he loved so dearly but wasn’t interested in adding another Pinot Noir or Cabernet to the landscape. Instead, he’s working with alternative varieties like Valdiguié, Carignan, Syrah, Tannat, and Chardonnay. Bubbles continue to be a big feature of his portfolio, but his single-vineyard reds and blends have been commended.
