Jim Barry helped shape and create the Clare Valley wine region. He was the first qualified winemaker in the area and only the 17^th person to receive an oenology degree from Roseworthy College. Today, the estate is 3^rd generation family owned with Jim’s grandson, Tom, at the helm.

 The family has amassed a large property, with a whopping 320ha of vines in Clare Valley and an additional 35ha in Coonawarra. They were the first in Australia to import cuttings of Assyrtiko from Santorini, having seen the likeness between the crispy white from Greece and their zippy Rieslings.
