The immeasurable talent of Foillard

Established in 1981 Jean Foillard is more than a man, he is a way of life and recognised brand the world over. 

Situated in Le Clachet he makes some of the finest wines in the Beaujolais cru of Morgan with a skirrick in Fleurie. 

Foillard employs whole cluster fermentation, wild yeasts and ages wines between 6 to nine months in Burgundian oak. Wines are unfiltered and no sulfur is added during vinification. 

So much more than that, is what Foillard stands for, the emergence of superior, highly regarded age worthy Beaujolais that will change the life of the drinker in an instant. 

Part of the legendary ‘Gang of Four’, Four like minded Beaujolais vignerons that followed the teachings of Jules Chauvet, widely considered the forefather of France's natural wine movement. 

Farming is certified organic and Foillards ability to represent the distinct terroir of his sites all the while offering grace, power and deeply structured Gamay is nothing short of remarkable!

These are wines of dreams and often exactly that, they come and go swiftly and only the lucky can say they have a bottle or two in their cellar.
