4 Monos or four monkeys, represents a Spanish gang of friends who met whilst hiking in Gredos mountains, one of the most profound wine terroirs to emerge in recent years. 

The high altitude mountains span the appellations of Méntrida, Vinos de Madrid, and Castilla y León planted to old bush vines on ancient soils - a landscape of immense beauty and diverse nature that combines Mediterranean abundance and Alpine purity.

‘Aguja del Fraile’ is a wine that glorifies old-vine Garnacha (Grenache) with a burst of Carinena (Carignan) that gives elegance and life to this perfectly balanced duo.
