A neighbour of Emidio Pepe in Abruzzo, Valentini creates wines that are of equal quality and esteem. His Trebbiano is lusciously textured and powerful while delivering salty minerality, florals and saturating flavour. The 2015 vintage brought warmth over the sun-drenched region but Valentini’s methods in the cellar allowed the variety to retain its freshness in seamless balance with the explosive fruit.
