The late Stéphane Moreau was one of Chablis’s most gifted modern visionaries, blending inspiration from icons like Vincent Dauvissat and Didier Dagueneau with a deep respect for old, pre-industrial methods. Following his untimely passing in 2016, his wife Virginie has continued the domaine’s legacy with quiet determination and extraordinary skill. Under her guidance, the estate has earned two stars in La Revue du Vin de France, placing it among Chablis’s elite.

The 2023 ‘Forêts’ is perfumed with beeswax, orange zest and pear over oyster shell and chalk. The palate is layered and tensile, rippling with saline acidity and mineral cut. Structured yet pure, it finishes with remarkable precision and persistence. One of the standout wines of the range, it embodies the tension and grace that define great Chablis.
