Domaine de Bellevue is a name you'll know by reputation, if you drink Melon de Bourgogne and if you don't then please do yourself a favour and buy a bottle now. Right now!
Jérôme Bretaudeau owns and operates the estate since 2001 and is located in Muscadet Sèvre et Maine Appellation of the Loire Valley’s Pay Nantais.
He farms two district plots that cover just over 8 hectares total. The towns and appellations are Gétigné, Cugand, Clisson and Vallet with the pink quartz, volcanic rocks and silica stones a feature and basis for the focus of his wines.
He has gained a following for some of the highest quality and terroir specific wines of the region. Wines are hand harvested at low yields and with organic principles. Often choosing to age in concrete eggs or clay amphorae.
Domaine de Bellevue is amongst the new guard of esteem estates, turning Muscadet Sèvre et Maine into a place of exciting discussion and electric wines.
