Tyrrell’s Late Disgorged Blanc de Blancs 2016 is a singular expression of Hunter Valley Chardonnay. Harvested in January 2016 from the family’s Casuarina Vineyard, this 100% Chardonnay cuvée spent around eight years on lees before its July 2024 disgorgement, sealed with liqueur made from 23‑year‑old Vat 47 stock and 10‑year‑old brandy. The result is pale, refined, and deeply aromatic: green apple, citrus blossom and brioche on the nose; vibrant acidity and white‑peach fruit on the palate; and a long, creamy, mineral‑tinged finish.
