The Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Rouge 2022 is crafted by renowned Burgundian vigneron Sylvain Pataille at the northern tip of the Côte de Nuits in the village of Marsannay‑la‑Côte. His biodynamically farmed vines (located on clay‑limestone soils in Chenôve, Couchey and Marsannay) are mostly planted between 1950 and 1980; the estate blend was aged in used barriques and demi‑muids with roughly 80% whole‑cluster fermentations.

On the nose it opens with red and black fruit — morello cherry, fresh strawberry and a hint of violet — merged with mineral lift and subtle understorey spice. In the mouth the profile is medium‑bodied, vibrant and taut, with a chalky minerality, fresh acidity, fine granular tannins and a subtle black olive savoury finish.
