Bernice Ong and Julian Forwood have had some notable hands-on experience at the likes of Wirra Wirra, Woodstock, Mountadam, Yalumba and Moët Hennessy all of which have added to their repertoire in winemaking and crafting.
In 2012 the pair made the brave choice to go out on their own and so MInistry of Clouds was born. Sourcing red grapes from McLaren Vale and whites from Clare Valley and Tasmania, their first release was in 2013 with an offering of six wines that burst through the smoke screen and impressed the likes of James Halliday.
The talented duo continue to do so and were named in the top 10 wineries of the Halliday Wine Companion in 2015.
Drawn to alternate varieties and tasteful take on poise and elegance the wines of Ministry of Clouds somewhat reflect the thoughtful and considered manner of the makers.
These are wines for sharing with friends, there is something for everyone to adore.
