Marchand & Burch

'Les Fremiets' Volnay 1er Cru 2019

Marchand & Burch is a collaboration between French winemaker Pascal Marchand (originally of Quebec, Canada) and Jeff Burch of Western Australia. The two met while Pascal was working for Domaine Comte Armand and Jeff was touring. A shared passion connected them instantaneously. They’re doing an exchange of sorts, with the idea of bringing great French wines to Australia and vice versa.

The 2019 Volnay Frémiets 1er Cru is 50% whole bunch fermented and aged with 25% lightly toasted new oak. Floral notes on the nose are accompanied by raspberry and spiced chocolate on the palate.
