The Rioja Alta is a subregion that sits at a high elevation on the western edge of Rioja, Spain. Winemakers from Bodegas Moraza have been cultivating vines here for six generations which has taught them a profound respect for the environment. Their wines hold an inherent connection with soil, sun and surrounding nature. 4 Caminos comes from a single vineyard of Tempranillo grown at 600m above sea level. The cooler growing conditions equate to a shorter growing season which produces wines that sit perched and lively on the palate. With a Gamay-like juiciness, it is a slippery spiced wine with the meaty tannins of Rioja.
