Dougos is located at the foot of Mount Olympus in Rapsani, Greece. The family-owned estate consists of 9ha of organically farmed vineyards. A combination of indigenous Greek as well as French varieties are planted at an altitude of 550-700m above sea level. In the winery, a mixture of French and American oak are used to age the reds. Rapsani is their best known cuvée. Made from the oldest vines, Rapsani is a red blend of Xinomavro, Krasato and Stavroto, aged in both species of oak for 12 months. Notes of wild strawberries are the calling card of the region, mixed with savoury, leather undertones.
