Domaine de Chatillon is located in the stunning Savoie region of France, nestled in the foothills of Mont Clergeon. The continental alpine climate is mitigated by the winery’s proximity to Lac de Bourget and eases the diurnal swings. The 7.25ha property is owned by Ed Peter, who also owns Australia’s prominent Yarra Yering vineyard, while Fabien Danjoy has been hired as chief winemaker. They practice lutte raisonée, which in short means they aim to be as sustainable as possible without adhering to strict guidelines laid out by a certifying body. The wines are made to reflect the region, so think fresh and crispy, with a splash of new oak on the reds, just to soften the edges.
