Syrah 2020

The man behind the Vanguardist label, Michael Corbett, hails from New Zealand and has set up shop in McLaren Vale as one of Australia’s up and coming young producers. Sourcing fruit from some of the best vineyards across Australia, his purpose is to create wines of great character and personality - a manoeuvre to push out the overly commercialised wines of the region.

In finding a connection to home, Michael has sourced some beautiful Syrah from Hawkes Bay to create a cool climate, lifted expression that is vinified in his cellar back home in the Vale. It has a softer take, peppery acid and an elegance that is synonymous with both his style and the fruit from his homeland.
