Produced by the Armani family, whose winemaking history in Italy's Adige Valley stretches back to 1607, this Pinot Grigio hails from the Grave Friulana at the foot of the Carnic Alps in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Vines are trained on the guyot system in loose, calcareous river-stone soils, farmed to limit yields per plant, and the wine ferments and matures in stainless steel on its own lees until bottling.

Straw yellow in the glass, it opens with an intriguing, intense bouquet of pear and mature apple, evolving with notes of elder blossom, magnolia, and Mediterranean herbs alongside dry hay and toasted almond. The palate is fresh, sapid, and mineral-driven, with a long, persuasive finish.
