By Burgundy standards, Arnaud Baillot is considered a newcomer having made his first vintage in 2014. Located in Levernois, a small village on the South-East of some of Beaune’s best vineyards, Arnaud is producing wines of incredible tension and precision. His style is energetic and respectful to vineyard expression whilst offering incredible value from an up-and-coming star.
The wine is coming from the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Chenevottes, advantageous for its position of flat land with healthy exposure to the sun. The fruit here produces concentrated flavours of ripe lemons and jasmine with a lick of flint for complexity. A barrel ferment with 12 months elevage in oak creates a subtle and lingering structure for this beautiful wine.
